How We Tested Beaver Builder, Elementor & SeedProd
When testing each of the page builders in this guide, we set them up on a clean WordPress installation and compared each plugin based on the following criteria:
- Ease of Use: We looked at whether the plugins were easy to use, even for beginners.
- Template Library: We compared the number of templates and whether they cater to different niches.
- Customization Options: We tested how easy it was to customize a template, including editing fonts, colors, styles, motion effects, custom positioning, and more.
- Third-Party Integrations: We noted what integrations were available for email marketing, CRMs, and other WordPress plugins.
- Mobile Responsive: We tested each plugin’s mobile friendliness, including the ability to preview designs on multiple devices.
Beaver Builder vs Elementor vs SeedProd: Overview
Kicking off our comparison, here’s an overview of each plugin.
Beaver Builder
Beaver Builder is a drag-and-drop page builder that lets you easily create different pages and posts. It offers a wide range of pre-designed templates with a responsive design and modules for common website elements, such as sliders, forms, and pricing tables.
The page builder has a clean and intuitive interface, making it easy for users of all skill levels to create professional-looking pages.
Elementor
Elementor is another popular drag-and-drop page builder for WordPress that lets you create custom pages and posts with ease. It includes a huge library of templates and widgets, as well as the ability to create custom templates.
This plugin also has a live editing feature that allows users to see the changes they make in real-time.
SeedProd
SeedProd is a WordPress page builder that specializes in creating landing pages and complete WordPress sites. It includes built-in page modes for coming soon, maintenance, login, and 404 pages and lets you create a full WordPress theme from scratch without coding.
Additionally, SeedProd comes with a template library, website kits, and WordPress blocks, as well as a visual drag-and-drop interface. It also has the option to add email opt-in forms and integrations with various email services.
Our Initial Impressions
All three page builders are popular choices for creating custom pages and posts on WordPress, but each has its own unique features and strengths.
We found that Beaver Builder and Elementor are both well-suited for creating a wide range of posts and pages, while SeedProd has complete functionality for making entire WordPress websites.
Interface Comparison
All three builders in this comparison offer visual front-end building. Yet, each plugin has a slightly different approach to the user interface. For this section, we’ll look at each solution’s interface and see how they differ.
Beaver Builder Plugin Interface
The Beaver Builder WordPress plugin interface is minimalist and straightforward. It has a sidebar that allows you to drag modules onto your page. Once Beaver Builder modules are in place, the sidebar disappears. It then shows a popup editor for changing the module content and settings.
We found that when we added a new module, it auto-created a new column. This removed the need to manually create new columns for each module, saving time during the design process.
You can learn more about this plugin’s interface in my Beaver Builder review.
Elementor Pro interface
The Elementor interface comes in 2 columns. It offers a left-hand sidebar to drag and drop new page elements and edit their settings. Then there’s the visual page preview on the right side, where you can see changes to landing pages, content pages, and saved templates in real-time.
To edit the text of any element, we were able to use the text box in the sidebar or type directly on the page text editing area (inline editing).
You can edit the styling of elements by clicking an element and changing the settings in the sidebar.
Unlike Beaver Builder, Elementor requires manual column creation for each module. Plus, Beaver Builder doesn’t offer an inline editing option.
Elementor’s theme builder also allows you to craft WordPress theme components. You can then customize them with its page builder.
You can see our detailed Elementor review here.
SeedProd Interface
SeedProd has a drag-and-drop interface that is relatively similar to Elementor. The drag-and-drop editor has a sidebar on the left for dragging and dropping different content blocks and sections. It also has a live preview on the right for seeing your changes in real-time.
We noticed that SeedProd offers inline editing to edit text elements by typing directly in the live preview or using the sidebar’s text editor.
Editing blocks in SeedProd is easier than in Elementor or Beaver Builder.
Settings are simplified to only essential changes. This eliminates the need to build your landing page block by block. You can also reuse many elements by saving them for later.
SeedProd also offers a theme builder, and in our opinion, it’s a lot easier to see the individual parts of your theme.
You can quickly turn each part on and off and customize them with the same drag-and-drop page builder.
Our Interface Review
After using each page builder, we found that they all have a similar fluid interface, making it difficult to choose a favorite. Elementor has more customization options than Beaver Builders’ layout.
But SeedProd’s design options are the most beginner-friendly, so we’re more inclined to recommend SeedProd’s interface.
Modules Comparison
The best WordPress page builders use various elements, modules, or blocks (the terms are different for each plugin). These are the building blocks for your page that allow you to build without coding each section from scratch.
Most page builders have a long list of page elements, including standard design elements, such as text, images, and button blocks. They also offer advanced modules like:
- Contact forms
- Pricing tables
- Optin forms
- Countdown timers
Since there are so many different modules for each page builder, we won’t list each one here. Instead, we’ll show the differences between Beaver Builder, Elementor, and SeedProd for their advanced page blocks.
Beaver Builder Content Blocks
Beaver Builder has all the essential content blocks you’d expect from a WordPress page builder. You can add text, images, videos, lists, and add basic media actions, layout info, and posts with ease.
When it comes to more advanced modules, you can use:
- Social Share buttons
- Contact Form
- Testimonials
- Recent Posts
- Subscribe Form
- Number Counter
- Countdown clock
- Post Carousel
- Gallery
Beaver Builder also allows you to add several WordPress widgets to your pages and single posts, such as Archives, Calendar, Menus, etc.
Compared to the other solutions, Beaver Builder has the least variety for niche page modules.
Elementor Content Elements
Elementor has all the standard page elements of all 3 page builders. It also has the most elements, with over 53 different options and multiple 3rd party addons.
The page elements that stand out are:
- Flip Box
- Lottie Animations
- Facebook Comments
- Audio Player
- Portfolio
- Animated Headlines
- Login
With so many features and options, Elementor’s page elements are best suited to business owners looking for an easy way to customize their entire WordPress site visually.
Yet, if all you need is to make a few well-designed landing pages, the choice can be overwhelming.

SeedProd Blocks
Compared to Beaver Builder and Elementor, SeedProd has just the right balance of standard and advanced content blocks.
SeedProd is both a powerful landing page builder AND a WordPress theme builder. You can create landing pages and a custom WordPress theme without writing code.
SeedProd’s advanced blocks are focused on helping you generate leads, improve website conversions, and design stunning themes without minimal fuss.
For example, you can use the Giveaway block to create an online contest with RafflePress, the best WordPress giveaway plugin, and display it on your landing page.
Doing so will help you drive targeted traffic to the page and boost leads.
With SeedProd’s opt-in form block, you can add a sign-up form to your WordPress theme pages and connect it with your email marketing service to grow your email list.
You can also use the Contact Form block to integrate with WPForms, the most user-friendly contact form plugin for WordPress.
SeedProd’s other Advanced blocks include:
- Countdown Timer
- Social Profiles
- Social Media Sharing
- Login Form
- Progress Bar
- Heart Icon
- Gallery
- Divider
- Image Carousel
- Pricing Table
- And more
It also offers easy-to-use blocks that pull dynamic content from WordPress, including blog posts, titles, comments, author box, etc.
Online stores will also appreciate the WooCommerce blocks. They let you add dynamic WooCommerce content to your page or theme design in a few clicks, including:
- Add to Cart Button
- Shopping Cart
- Product Grids
- Checkout Page
- Upsells
- Menu Cart
- Product Rating
- Product Description
- And more
With this builder, there are neither too few nor too many blocks. They have no extra fluff, allowing you to build the highest-converting landing pages in WordPress.
SeedProd also has a Sections tab allowing you to add whole content sections to your theme with a single click. For instance, header, footer, CTAs, and more.
This means you won’t need to build parts of your landing page block by block.
Our Modules Review
All three builders offer nearly everything you’d need for a webpage. They have good options for the free versions and a much more comprehensive range for premium.
SeedProd does seem to have the edge here. We found that the free option offers more than Beaver Builder, and the premium option offers even more. Plus, with a whole suite of WooCommerce-ready blocks, it’s an excellent solution for online stores and eCommerce sites.
Advanced Styling Comparison
The goal of any WordPress page builder is to make designing your page as easy as possible. But you’ll likely want to do more than just dragging a module on your page and leaving it at that. You’ll probably want to tweak specific options to change the colors, positions, padding, etc.
For this reason, page builders tend to offer advanced customization options. Below we’ll compare the advanced styling and customization options for these page builders.
Beaver Builder Advanced Styling
The Beaver Builder interface allows you to select advanced styling options for page modules and sections by showing a popup window. This window has 3 different tabs, including:
- General – Add basic content and functions
- Style – Choose colors, alignment, font size, etc.
- Advanced – Add custom margins, mobile responsive settings, animations, user roles, CSS, etc.
With Beaver Builder, you can also show specific modules based on whether a user is logged in or out. This is an option that isn’t available with Elementor.
Elementor Advanced Styling
Clicking any element or section in Elementor shows 3 tabs similar to what you find in Beaver Builder:
- Content – Specify basic alignment and content settings
- Style – Set fonts, colors, borders, etc., depending on the element
- Advanced – Add custom margins and paddings, entrance animations, change z-indexes, custom CSS code and identifiers, and more.
We also found that there was a good level of control over the different sections. This allows you to set gutter widths, column gaps, and more. Moreover, Elementor lets you right-click to copy-paste elements (much like Gutenberg), which is something the other solutions lack.
SeedProd Advanced Styling
Depending on the block you choose, clicking any block in SeedProd offers the following tabs:
- Content – Add content and change the font size, alignment, etc.
- Templates – Choose a premade design for that block and implement it with a single click.
- Advanced – Change typography, spacing, shadows, border radius, colors, etc.
Many advanced design options use simple sliders that show the changes in real-time on your live preview. This makes them quick and easy to adjust. And because what you’ll find in each tab is specific to the block you use, you won’t find any unnecessary settings to make things confusing.
SeedProd’s block templates are the stand-out feature here. Almost all advanced landing page blocks have several templates with different designs.
Want a different Call to Action button? Just click the Templates tab and choose from a list of styles.
In SeedProd’s Global Page settings, we found that you can control your landing page design even more.
The background section allows you to easily upload background images, video backgrounds, and video slideshows.
You can also change the global page colors and fonts in their respective tabs.
Plus, if you need inspiration, you can choose from various pre-made color palettes and font combinations to use throughout your page.
Our Advanced Styling Review
Considering all 3 solutions have robust advanced styling features, each page builder does the job well. They all offer a lot of control over your page design, with the option to add custom code where needed.
But in terms of how easy these settings are to use, we decided that SeedProd is the clear winner. We could fully customize every page element easily, even as beginners. Making our pages look stunning was even easier with the added font themes and color palettes
Templates Comparison
A successful WordPress page builder should have a growing responsive landing page template library. With a good landing page template, you can choose a landing page design that matches the look you have in mind. Then, you can customize it using the drag-and-drop builder.
All 3 page builder plugins below have a variety of templates. But you’ll find that some are more focused than others.
Beaver Builder Templates
Beaver Builder’s website templates include landing page templates and content templates.
The Landing Page Templates are designed with various industries in mind, from DJs and Apps to lifestyle blogs and online stores.
While there are quite a few templates to choose from, we noticed that the selection is limited. They also don’t offer a way to filter landing pages by goal or industry.
Beaver Builder offers pre-made designs for contact pages, about pages, services, and more in the Content Templates section. These are useful if you’re looking to easily change the structure of pages across your website. You can also save templates in Beaver Builder to use again.
We found that with many Beaver Builder templates, we first had to ensure our WordPress theme had a full-width page setting. Otherwise, the template didn’t display as it should.
Elementor WordPress Templates
Unlike Beaver Builder, Elementor combines its landing pages and content page templates in one area. You can then filter them by new, trend, popular, or search using a keyword.
The page templates include:
- Homepages
- Landing pages
- Contact web pages
- Service listing pages
- Pricing pages
- Coming soon pages
- Login pages
You can also save any custom designs as new templates to use elsewhere.
Many of the more straightforward templates are available on their free plan. But to use the more advanced Elementor templates, you’ll need to upgrade to the pro plan.
Elementor’s templates are good for website owners looking for a complete unified look throughout their website. This makes it a robust website builder rather than a focused landing page builder.
SeedProd Landing Page Templates
SeedProd has over 300+ professionally designed, mobile responsive landing page templates. Unlike Beaver Builder and Elementor, they’re all designed around specific landing page goals.
Many of SeedProd’s mobile-friendly landing page templates are available to free users, so you can build beautiful landing pages without paying a penny. It’s also easy to filter templates by landing page type, including:
- Coming Soon
- Maintenance Mode
- 404 Page
- Sales Pages
- Webinar
- Lead Squeeze
- Thank You
- Login Page
We should also mention that SeedProd is the ONLY plugin on this list with built-in Coming Soon, Maintenance, 404-page, and Login Page modes. With a simple click, you can create a coming soon page in WordPress and control who does and doesn’t see the nuts and bolts of your website.
Plus, when you’re making small changes and updates, you can put your WordPress site in Maintenance Mode, with a countdown timer showing when you’ll be back.
SeedProd has a separate template library that centers around premade starter WordPress themes. These Website Kits let you quickly create a custom WordPress theme without building each template part from scratch.
Like its landing pages, all of SeedProd’s theme templates are 100% mobile-friendly. So, all you need to do is customize them with your content and branding.
With this in mind, SeedProd’s templates are ideal for website owners who need to create professional-looking WordPress themes and landing pages that convert.
Our Templates Review
When it comes to templates, Beaver Builder’s library is pretty limited. There are only a handful of different designs to choose from.
Elementor and SeedProd, offer a much broader library of templates. We think SeedProd is the best choice for creating both websites and landing pages in this scenario.
AI Functionality Comparison
The approach to web design is constantly changing, and AI is playing an increasingly important role. Let’s explore how Beaver Builder, Elementor, and SeedProd are incorporating AI to enhance their page builders.
Beaver Builder AI
At the time of writing our review, we found that Beaver Builder doesn’t currently offer any AI features. According to their latest development update, these features don’t appear to be in the works either.
However, the page builder does integrate well with other tools like SureTriggers, so you can use AI to send emails when users fill in your contact forms. We’ll keep an eye on any developments and update this post if AI is a feature they offer in the future.
Elementor AI
Elementor, on the other hand, offers AI content generation. With its writing assistant, you can prompt it by describing your content, and it will generate text in seconds.
Similarly, you can use AI on any image element to generate, refine, and extend images on your page. You can even use AI to build various layouts and containers automatically.
SeedProd AI
SeedProd also now provides AI-powered features. With its AI writing assistant, you can create engaging content, including headlines, intros, and FAQs. It can even change the length and complexity of your copy with a single click.
Similar to Elementor, though easier to use, is it’s AI image generation feature.
In any image block, you can ask the AI assistant to create a new image from a simple prompt.
Even better, you can go back and edit the image with AI by asking it to create new variations, adjust the initial prompt, and more.
Our AI Features Review
When testing out the AI features of these page builders, naturally SeedProd and Elementor excelled. However, Elementor’s AI assistant felt more complicated than SeedProd’s.
Performance Comparison
Many WordPress page builders are bloated with features you don’t need. This can slow your website down. If there’s even a 1-second delay in page loading times, potential customers could click away from your site and never return.
To help you discover which page builder has the best overall performance, we ran some tests and compared the results in the table below. To keep things fair, we created landing pages using Beaver Builder, Elementor, and SeedProd on our test site with the following page elements:
- Heading
- Image
- Button
Here are the results:
Page Builder | Page Size | Load Time | Requests |
Beaver Builder Performance | 142.7 KB | 1.22s | 12 |
Elementor Performance | 312.2 KB | 1.57s | 30 |
SeedProd Performance | 124.1 KB | 1.18s | 11 |
As you can see from the results above, SeedProd came out on top with the smallest page size, the quickest load time, and fewer requests.
However, we achieved even better results by running the same SeedProd landing page in Isolation Mode.
Isolation mode stops the wp-header and wp-footer hooks from running, loading only the essential elements needed to render your page. This is a great way to avoid conflicts with WordPress themes and plugins.
The results with the Isolation mode switched on were:
- Page Size: 96.6 KB
- Load Time: 1.12s
- Requests: 7
With a faster landing page, you’re much more likely to see better click-through rates, leads, and conversions, improving SEO results.
Our Performance Review
After looking at the results above, it’s clear that SeedProd is the best page builder for overall speed and performance. Beaver Builder comes in at a close second, with Elementor having the most significant page size, most requests, and longest loading time.
Pricing Comparison
Now that we’ve compared the essential elements of each landing page builder let’s look at the price points.
Each WordPress page builder plugin has both a free version and a pro version. In the marketing world, we call this “freemium.” What you get on the free plan with each plugin varies. For example, the free version of Beaver Builder has minimal options.
Moreover, with Beaver Builder pro and premium versions, you can get the Beaver Builder theme-building feature (Beaver themer) and WordPress multisite capability. They created the agency version of Beaver Builder for companies who want to rebrand Beaver Builder using white labeling, so the Agency plan is best for that purpose.
On the other hand, the Elementor plugin offers far more advanced website-building options and a popup builder in the paid version compared to the free versions of Elementor. This is great if you’re a web designer.
Only Beaver Builder offers a solution for unlimited sites.
Here is how the pricing compared for each plugin with details of their premium plans:
Beaver Builder Pricing | Elementor Pricing | SeedProd Pricing | |
Free Plan | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Standard Plan | From $99 | From $49 | From $39.50 |
Unlimited Sites? | Yes | 1,000 sites | 100 sites |
Lifetime Pan? | No | No | No |
Beaver Builder vs Elementor vs SeedProd: Our Verdict
After comparing the top plugins, we’ve concluded that SeedProd is the best WordPress page builder.
SeedProd is the easiest landing page builder to use. It’s focused on creating professional-quality WordPress designs and doesn’t include bloat with features you’ll never use.
You can integrate SeedProd with a wide variety of email marketing services, CRM, and third-party tools like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Google Analytics, and Zapier. This makes it easier to drive conversions for your blog posts, small business, or eCommerce site. And it has a great range of quality templates you can customize in the visual drag-and-drop builder.
SeedProd is also the fastest plugin in this comparison and offers the most value for money based on the advanced features you receive.

This is interesting. I use Elementor Pro for my website and I always feel it’s slowing down my pages no matter what I try… But the difficulty will be transitioning to something else…
Hi Judith! Unfortunately, there is no easy way to transition between page builders (as this will involve recreating all the theme templates and landing pages).
