When you sign up for a new Bluehost, HostGator or other web hosting account and start a new WordPress site, the host may automatically install the Mojo Marketplace Plugin. This plugin gives you access to the Mojo Marketplace which sells plugins and themes but it will also install a Mojo Marketplace Coming Soon Page on your website so that when visitors view your website they will see image below instead of your website under construction.

It’s not obvious to some users how to remove or disable this page or plugin so I’ll walk you through the process.
To disable the Mojo Marketplace Coming Soon Page
- Log into your Admin Area on your WordPress site.
- Visit the Dashboard and at the top there is a notification that says:
“Your site is currently displaying a “Coming Soon” page. Once you are ready to launch your site click here.”
- Click the link in the notification and the Coming Soon Page will then be removed and disabled from your website. Note: You may need to clear any caching plugins or your host cache.
To disable the Mojo Marketplace Plugin
- Log into your Admin Area on your WordPress site.
- Click Plugins > Installed Plugins to view your current installed plugins.
- Find the Mojo Marketplace plugin in your installed WordPress plugin list and click Deactivate
- Optionally you can then click Delete to completely remove the Mojo Marketplace plugin.
- Again you may need to clear any caching plugins or your host cache.
That’s it! Most hosts will have an option to disable the auto install of the Mojo Marketplace plugin which will prevent future installs of WordPress from displaying the Mojo Marketplace Coming Soon Page. Check with your host for that option.
If you are looking for a Coming Soon Page that offers more options like themes, collecting emails, countdown, social sharing option and more be sure to check out our Coming Soon Page plugin for WordPress. Not using WordPress? No problem, then checkout https://comingsoonpage.com which creates a pure html Coming Soon Page which you can use on most any site or platform.
Ok I did everything you suggested. Now the proper front page is showing on the site. But now I want the “coming soon” page back. I understand that is coming from the mojo plugin which comes preinstalled on hostgator.
Any idea how to get the “coming soon” page back?
Thanks!!
Please don’t delete this!!!!
Just reinstall the plugin, check with your host otherwise!
Good description, thanks
I did everything suggestsed on here, but my site still displays the “coming soon” page? Any thoughts on what the next step would be?
Make sure you clear any caching plugins your host may have installed!
I’ve also tried everything you suggested, and I’m pretty sure I cleared caches as well. But “Coming Soon” page is still being displayed on my site. Any suggestions? http://www.gingersnaptravels.com/wp-admin
Looks fine to me, screenshot: https://goo.gl/NefdJQ
This will be active already. https://github.com/bluehost/endurance-page-cache
Good to note for others that if you deactivate the plugin before clicking “click here” their page still shows. I had to reactivate MOJO, click where it said “click here” and then I could deactivate and delete it.
Thanks for your help!
Amy
Thanks for the suggestions, really helpful. My issue is that the “coming soon” has disappeared from site when I am on a computer but mobile devices and ipads still show the message on 3 pages of the site (about me, retreats, timetable). I have deactivated and deleted MOJO and tried to get help from host … Site is theyogaspace.com.au Help!
Sounds like you just need to clear your device cache. Do that and it should be fine!
Thanks, John. Have tried this and still happening… have also tried on other devices and same thing happening. How does it work that a computer sees the site as 100% and the phones and ipads have the same 3 pages as coming soon…? I am on hold now with Bluehost again… : (
Got it sorted! I just made a minor change to the page and saved changes and that forced the cache to re-boot, so diplaying perfectly on all devices. So relieved!
I have followed the steps you outlined above. I clicked on the ‘click here’ button on top of my dashboard to remove the Coming Soon page. I have also deleted the Mojo Marketplace plugin. However, every time I visit my website the ‘Website Coming Soon’ page of mojo marketplace is still there. I would really appreciate your help.
Check with your host, probably a caching issue.
I don’t want the coming soon page… but my site is not ready yet! I don’t want ANYTHING to show, like it was before installing wordpress. What can I do? Thanks!
What you can do is install my free coming soon plugin and by default it’s a blank page. https://wordpress.org/plugins/coming-soon/
great
I have done all of this but still see the coming soon when I share my post on facebook. Any suggestions.
Facebook caches your website, you can their debugger to refresh the cache. https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
is there any way to reverse this?
I have done all the stuff but I still see website coming soon. What should I do?
If you site has caching make sure to clear that, otherwise contact your host.
Caching will be enabled by default in the form of a mu-plugin and NGNIX+.
Good entry! Thank to share!
I have removed the Mojo Plugin, my site is on line, working perfect, but the description is wrong. It is still show a Mojo description. Url facebook Linter says: “og:description This page is used to test the proper operation of your recent MOJO Marketplace installation of WordPress! If you can read this page it means your installation was successful!”
Why cant I modify it?
Any idea?
What’s your url?
Hi John! Thanks for your response!
It is working fine right now! I think it take a time for the google search motor refresh information of my site.
Thanks any way!
Hi John, I don’t have a “click here” on my dashboard and I disabled the mojo market place but I think it is still showing the coming soon page instead of the website. What else can I do?
Probably contact your host in that case!
You will see a Bluehost link at the upper left of your WP admin. Click HOME under Bluehost and then a little down on the right page you should see it although I’m sure you’ve figured it out by now.
Thank You, you give Best Solution for Bluehost.

Hello, every time I log in to a website I get this in the background, if I delete it then lots of the website content disappears. As I am not the website maker, but just an internet user for shopping purposes etc, I don’t know how to delete this from my computer system. I have looked in my prog files and other places it may be, but really I am a novice at tinkering with my laptop.

I’m so happy you wrote this post about how to get rid of the Bluehost / WordPress coming soon page or I would have spent a long time trying to figure it out!

Hi Regina,
Your hosted is running a caching plugin called endurance cache, see this screenshot: https://goo.gl/nudrHY
Check with your host on how to clear this.
Hello, When I search my website in Google, I can’t find, and I find only if I search the exatly name. And when I see my website in Google, I see the following message under my website name:
Website Coming Soon. This page is used to test the proper operation of your recent MOJO Marketplace installation of WordPress! If you can read this page it means your installation was successful! Admin Login. Just visiting? The owner of this website is working on making this site awesome. Why not bookmark it and come …
Please help what I did wrong?
Google cache metadata, so the last time google crawled your site that’s what it found. After you launch the next time google crawls your site then if will refresh the results. If your website is going to be under construction for a while then you’ll want to use a custom coming soon plugin like https://www.seedprod.com and you can set custom metadata for search engines.
Hello, Thanks your quick response.
So you think , I just have to wait for the Google. What do you think, how long is the restore?
Thanks
Yep, you can submit your site to have google recrawl it but there is no guarantee when they will recrawl it.
I don’t see the ‘coming soon’ comment anywhere! I had to install a coming soon mode plugin, but I can still see my website on another computer. Nothing is working. I activated the MOJO plugin and now its not showing under ‘plugins’. Why do I not see the coming soon comment? And my site still appears?? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
I would check with your host support in your case. Most likely a caching issue.
Okay, thanks!
I uninstalled and deleted Mojo on a new site I built, but despite the fact that it’s deleted and the site is live, when I copy and then paste the URL, in a Facebook message, for instance, I get a preview photo and message from Mojo, about the site coming soon.
I see this could be a caching issue or related to Google. Is there anything I can do other than purging my cache? The site is live and having this message below the link is very unprofessional if someone other than me was to send it to someone to highlight my work. Trying to resolve ASAP>
oh yeah miss read, facebook caches urls as well and google. Google you can’t clear, facebook you can here:https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
check with your host on how to clear your cache, that’s a caching issue.
Thanks, John!
I was working on my site, when I deactivated the MOJO screen, the website started showing just a blank page. The issue is only with a theme I bought, but when I got in contact with the support, they didn’t find any issue with the theme. Other free themes that come for default on WP works well. Might this issue be because of the MOJO screen?
Might be the white screen of death. See this: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-wordpress-white-screen-of-death/
This page is used to test the proper operation is showing in sharing in domain name. what is the problems
Not sure, check with your host.
Thank you For me it worked.
Just clicked on the “Click Here” in the following sentence and I was able to see main page.
“Your site is currently displaying a “Coming Soon” page. Once you are ready to launch your site click here.””
Thanks again.
