How to Set Up Coming Soon Mode with Your AI Assistant

Coming soon mode is SeedProd’s signature feature: visitors see a polished placeholder page while you build the real site behind it. With your own AI assistant connected through the free WPVibe plugin, you can have the page designed and the mode enabled in one short conversation, and turned off again just as easily on launch day.

What you need

  • A WordPress site with SeedProd installed
  • The free WPVibe plugin connected to Claude, ChatGPT, or another AI assistant (see the WPVibe setup guide)

Ask your AI to design the page

Paste this prompt into your assistant. It is deliberately two-step: the page gets designed first, and coming soon mode is only enabled after you have seen the page and said yes. Logged-in admins always see the real site either way.

Design a coming-soon page for my site, but do not enable coming-soon mode until I say so. My WordPress site: [your site URL].

The page should say: [describe the message, for example our new store opens in two weeks]. Tone: [for example friendly, minimal, or exciting].

1. Search for a background image that fits, then create the page with SeedProd's save-page ability as a coming-soon page. Do not pass activate. Give it a headline, a short paragraph, and a countdown if it suits the message.
2. Do not enable coming-soon mode yet. After saving, tell me whether the response says the compile finished. If it did not, give me the builder edit link and tell me to open it once and click Save.
3. Give me the builder edit link so I can review the page, and describe what you built so I can check the wording.
4. Wait for me to confirm. Only after I say yes, enable coming-soon mode with SeedProd's toggle-coming-soon ability, passing the id of the page you just created so it binds the right page. Then confirm the mode is on.
5. Remind me that to take the site out of coming-soon mode later I just ask you to disable it, and that logged-in admins always see the real site in the meantime.

Launch day

When the real site is ready, one sentence turns the placeholder off: “disable coming soon mode.” Your assistant flips it and confirms visitors now see the live site. The same flow works for maintenance mode when you need a brief closed-for-repairs page. For the full prompt library, see the WPVibe recipe.
