Domain Mapping lets you point a completely separate domain to a SeedProd landing page hosted on your WordPress site. For example, your main site can run on domain-a.com while a landing page on the same WordPress installation is accessible at domain-b.com.
Step 1: Add a DNS Record at Your Domain Registrar
Log in to the management panel of the registrar where you purchased the domain you want to map. Add an A record pointing to the IP address of the web server hosting your WordPress site.
If you are unsure of your server’s IP address, contact your web hosting provider’s support team — they can provide it and confirm the record is set up correctly. DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours to propagate.
Step 2: Add the Domain in Your Hosting Panel
In your web hosting control panel, add the new domain as an additional domain for your WordPress site. Your hosting provider can assist with this step and confirm the domain is correctly pointed to your web server.
Step 3: Configure Domain Mapping in SeedProd
Open the landing page you want to map in the SeedProd builder and go to Page Settings > Custom Domain. Configure the following settings:
- Domain Name: Enter the domain you want to map, for example
mydomain.com. You can also include an optional path, such asmydomain.com/thank-you, to map to a specific page URL. - Force HTTPS: Enable this toggle if you want the domain to load over HTTPS. This only works if an SSL certificate is already installed for this domain.
- Custom Domain: Toggle this option on to activate the domain mapping.
Once domain mapping is active, visiting the mapped domain will display your SeedProd landing page. If the domain does not load immediately, allow time for DNS propagation to complete. Contact your hosting provider if the domain is not resolving correctly after 48 hours.
