    Very nice!

There’s one practical problem I have: The older version is active and I need to deactivate it first, then install the new version and next figure out all the new settings. During all that, the site is visible, which is visited quite a lot already and I don’t want that.

Is there a way to have the older plugin active and then switch when done?

    Love it though, cheers!
    Tom

    Hi Tom, unfortunately not :(

I can install the version for you, will only take me a second. Then you’ll just need to go in and enter your settings. Version 3 is major rewrite so you could also just continue to use version 2 on your current site then 3 on any new sites.

Just an idea wanted to share, Tom, there are other Under Construction plugins, none of which is nice as “Coming Soon Pro” (reason I am using Coming Soon Pro). But my idea would load the other “Under Construction” plugin and activate it and then upgrade “Coming Soon Pro” and figure out the new settings and once you are ready deactivate the other Under Construction plugin and activate the Coming Soon Pro moments later.

Sure there would be maybe less than a minute between deactivating one and the other but if done late at night maybe that wouldn’t be an issue based on your concerns.

Or just let John upgrade it for you.

  • John Turner

karthostRoy thanks for the suggestion. The upgrade process should go smoother in the future, Version 2 was built on a unstable framework and had the potential for conflicts. I built Version 3 from the ground up to avoid all the pitfalls from Version 2. So this will be the last time something like this will occur.

John, great work and nice additional features. The developer upgrade was a nice touch (immediately upgraded). My question is that I have lots of sites that are version 2 which ideally should be version 3, both have the export/import options – what about a parser to convert a v2 export to a v3 import file?

    • John Turner

      Hey Mark,

Thanks! I looked into building a migrator but the options and structure were so different that building it would push back the launch and I really just wanted to get it out. Give me a couple of weeks and I’ll see if I can get one pushed out.

Congrats men for this release, I always thought this was going to be a good plugin since I first bought it.

    • John Turner

      Thx Miguel :)

How about having an option next to each of the font drop downs; Text Font, Headline Font, and Button Font to pick the font size that you want.

  • John Turner

Hi David, I’ll look into adding this. You can change the fonts size with custom css in the mean time.

I have a problem with the plugin. I disabled it, but when I share the link on Facebook, I still see “Coming Soon” as description.
